I started my career in technology and product development — and spent 25 years watching two worlds fail to understand each other. Legal teams who couldn't translate regulations into product requirements. Product teams who saw compliance as a blocker rather than a foundation. The gap between them is where expensive mistakes happen.
After 12 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and 2 years in Auckland, New Zealand — working across some of the world's most regulated technology environments, including a major Paris-based European telecommunications company — I returned to India in 2019. I found a market that had grown enormously in technology capability but was still catching up on the governance and legal frameworks that responsible technology demands.
That gap is what StartupZone is built to close. I bring both sides of the table — the legal training to understand what regulations require, and the product experience to understand what engineering teams can realistically build.
